First off, my internship ended with Fox News and The Morning Show. Fortunately for me, I did "such a good job" and was "such a pleasure to be around", that I was hired and began working for their Promotions and Advertising Department shortly after my college graduation. I'm with the company almost a year now! And it's great. Thank-you Roger Ailes!
I've been really busy producing videos for a section of their website called iMag. (Check it out at fncimag.com.) It's really cool stuff. I've learned so much already and I love the people I work with. By no means would I call it my dream job. That's saved for the day Tim Burton invites me to join him on his next film endeavor as his right hand man, but it is a lot of fun none the less. (Tim, if you are out there, I am still waiting!)
Along with the fun comes a heck of a lot of work. And that is partly why I haven't been so "deviant" lately. My apologies to anyone who has been following me and have noticed that I've been at a stand still for well over a year but alas, the work is what pays the bills. I'll try and get back into it. I want to desperately.
Secondly, I got ENGAGED!!! I know. It came as a total shock to me, too. Well, I guess it wasn't a total shock. My fiance and I have been together almost 6 years now so I knew it was going to happen. I just didn't know how soon. The wedding planning has been great thus far but yet again, another reason keeping me from submitting pieces. But it's a good reason. The wedding is set for October 24th, 2009.
Yeah, so it's been a good year for me overall.
Until next time...
